Commercial Construction Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Project Manager to oversee and manage various construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction management, project coordination, and a strong understanding of construction estimating and scheduling. This role requires exceptional time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to ensure project success.

Duties

• Lead and manage commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Utilize construction management software for effective project tracking and reporting.
• Coordinate project schedules.
• Conduct thorough construction estimating to assess project costs and prepare detailed budgets.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Manage communication between owner and senior leadership, clients, subcontractors, suppliers and team members to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Oversee on-site activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Prepare regular updates and reports regarding project status, timelines, and deliverables.
• Manage your respective assistant project manager and project superintendents.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial project management within the construction industry with a minimum of 3 years.
• Demonstratable project experience.
• Strong background in construction estimating, managing, and project scheduling techniques.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret schematics accurately.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Strong time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with teams.
• Prior experience on construction sites is preferred; familiarity with contracts is a plus.
