We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to support supply chain, procurement, and shipping operations within our aerospace and oil & gas divisions. This role is responsible for coordinating the movement of materials, parts, equipment, and documentation across domestic and international locations while ensuring compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements.ResponsibilitiesManage inbound and outbound shipments for parts, tools, equipment, and materials.Coordinate domestic and international freight, including air, sea, and ground transportation.Track shipments, resolve delays, and provide status updates to internal teams and clients.Work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers to optimize cost, lead time, and reliability.Monitor inventory levels, reorder points, and material availability.Coordinate delivery schedules with procurement, maintenance, and engineering teams.Maintain accurate records in ERP or inventory systems (SAP, Oracle, IFS, etc.).Support material forecasting for projects, maintenance, and production.Prepare and review shipping documents such as BOLs, CoCs, MSDS, export declarations, packing lists, and customs documentation.Verify supplier certifications and ensure traceability of materials and serialized components.Maintain audit-ready records for quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.Communicate with vendors, manufacturers, freight carriers, and third-party logistics providers.Support procurement team in managing delivery schedules and resolving supply issues.Work cross-functionally with engineering, QA/QC, maintenance, and project managers.Provide logistics support for field service operations, offshore deployments, and aerospace projects.Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs and improve supply chain efficiency.Assist with process optimization, KPI tracking, and logistics performance reporting.Participate in lean, safety, and quality improvement initiatives.Skills & QualificationsStrong knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, or material coordination.Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, IFS, Infor).Knowledge of freight logistics, customs, import/export regulations, and compliance standards.Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and digital documentation tools.
