Duties
- Manage and record all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Yardi or similar platforms.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and ledger entries.
- Prepare journal entries, process accounts payable and receivable, and handle payroll functions accurately.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform balance sheet reconciliation to maintain precise financial data.
- Assist with budgeting processes and provide detailed account analysis to support financial decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and governmental accounting standards where applicable.
- Support tax preparation activities by maintaining accurate records of expenses, income, and other relevant documentation.
- Conduct double-entry bookkeeping procedures, including debits & credits, to uphold the integrity of financial records.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of account activities.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Yardi, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles.
- Experience with account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting concepts including double-entry bookkeeping and journal entries.
- Ability to perform accounts payable/receivable functions efficiently while managing payroll processes.
- Excellent analytical skills for account analysis and account reconciliation tasks.
- Familiarity with financial report writing and budgeting processes to support organizational planning.
