Job Title: Personal Computer Support Specialist
Location: Pontiac, MI (Onsite)
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Personal Computer Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support for desktop hardware, software, and network connectivity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining end-user computing devices while ensuring minimal downtime and efficient user support.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain PC hardware and peripherals (monitors, keyboards, printers, scanners, disk drives).
- Load, configure, and verify software including operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Perform workstation setup including network connectivity and system configuration.
- Manage user profiles and perform data/application migration between systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and OS-related issues.
- Perform minor repairs or escalate complex issues to appropriate teams.
- Provide onsite technical support to end users.
- Maintain documentation of issues, resolutions, and system configurations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Desktop OS and Microsoft 365 services.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory and SCCM.
- Experience with endpoint security tools such as Trellix ENS.
- Knowledge of network setup and troubleshooting.
- Experience with printer configuration (LPR printing).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in enterprise environments.
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A , Microsoft, etc.).
