Job Title: Business Analyst

Job Location: Austin, Texas- Onsite

Job Description

• Support higher education policy initiatives, data-driven decision-making, and process improvements.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Develop and maintain workflow diagrams, process maps, and business documentation.
• Analyze data trends and create clear, actionable reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance higher education programs and operational efficiency.
• Translate complex data and business needs into meaningful insights.
• Support IT and business solution development by documenting requirements and processes.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive data.
• Improve processes to streamline program operations and increase efficiency.
• Assist with user story development and backlog refinement as needed.
• Participate in project planning, execution, and delivery within timelines and budgets.
• Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and support conflict resolution when required.

Candidate Skills & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• 8 years full-time experience in:
  • Business analysis, data analysis, or process improvement
  • Working on complex projects across all development phases
• 8 years of strong verbal and written communication skills
• 5 years of experience managing and delivering projects on time and within budget
• 4 years of experience:
  • Translating complex data and business requirements into actionable insights
  • Supporting development and documentation of IT and business requirements and processes
  • Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and conflict resolution
• 3 years of experience engaging stakeholders with clear verbal and written communication
• 2 years of experience:
  • SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau)
  • Working with confidential data and implementing secure processes

Preferred

• 2 years experience with user story development in Azure DevOps
• 1 year experience in Agile development and backlog management
• 1 year experience working in the Public Sector
