Golf: Outside Service

Madden's is an award-winning resort, located on more than 1,000 acres, that anticipates the wishes and desires of vacationers and offers them fantastic golf, upscale dining, lakeside spa, tennis, activity programs for children, biking, shopping, and art gallery with painting classes and almost every kind of on-the-water recreation possible in Minnesota, including fishing. Madden’s is currently seeking Outside Service positions for our summer 2026 season.

Service Standards:

• Serve all guests with a “Can Do Attitude”.
• Put a smile on your face and in your voice – Let the guest see and hear how glad and prepared you are to help them.  This creates a positive first impression of you and our capabilities to meet their needs.
• Ask, “How Can I Help You?” – Communicate your willingness to help them.
• Understand the customer’s request – Your job is to listen to the guests’ situation and find out what they want you to do for them.
• Describe how you CAN help – There isn’t anything worse than hearing someone say, “I can’t do that…. it’s not my job!”  There is always some action you can take to help them.
• Say, “Thank You.” – Final impressions are just as important as first impressions.  Strive to leave the guest feeling appreciated and pleased they chose to do business with you.

Duties and Responsibilities Specific to Beverage Station:

• Serve guests and golfers beverages and snacks from our beverage station.  Our beverage service at all golf courses at Madden’s is located by the #1 & #10 tee.
• Reorder and restock product with beverage department throughout the day.
• Maintain cleanliness of beverage station area.
• Accurate cash handling and daily deposits.

Duties and Responsibilities Secondary:

•  Assist with bag drop coverage and guests with golf clubs.  A guest should never have to carry their golf clubs once they arrive in the parking lot.
• Man, bag drop area.  Assist guests with golf clubs on and off bag drop.
•  Keep all carts clean, neat, and organized. (windows clean, towels, tees, stocked, pencils with logo facing golfer, scorecard, and yardage card)
• Stage carts in the staging area in an orderly and neat fashion.
• Responsible for the driving range.  Keeping range stocked, range picked, balls cleaned, and keeping range in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Keep cart staging and starting area non-congested, neat, and clean.  Do not allow carts to clog passage area and arrange them neatly after having been used.
• Maintain cleanliness around clubhouse, cart staging area, parking lot, beverage station, and driving range.
• Clean guest's clubs upon completion of their round *expected not optional.
• Uphold customer service standards. 
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent listening, speaking, and communication skills.
• Great decision-making skills.
• Must be able to work alongside other people and independently.
• The ability to establish and maintain relationships with guests and members is crucial.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• 1 Year of golf work experience preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

Work is performed outside on the golf course.

Physical Demands:

Primarily walking or standing for prolonged periods of time. occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift golf bags sometimes repeatedly.

Expected Hours of Work:

Variable work schedule with weekends included.

Travel:

Less than 10% travel is required.

Salary : $11 - $13
