GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The District Manager provides strategic leadership and high-level operational oversight for multiple geographic areas and the Area Managers and General Managers within them. This role ensures that all MAD Concepts Group locations in the district consistently deliver on the MAD Concepts Group Brand Promise – Our Cause – through strong operational performance, exceptional guest experience, financial strength, and alignment with company culture and long-term objectives.
This leader serves as the key link between the executive leadership team and the field, ensuring that organizational goals are understood, executed, measured, and continuously improved.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of a MAD Concepts Group District Manager include, but not limited to:
1.) Develop and execute district-level strategies that drive sales growth, guest satisfaction, operational consistency, and long-term success
2.) Establish district goals aligned with company priorities, and hold Area Managers and General Managers accountable for delivering results
3.) Analyze district performance data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and implement strategic solutions.
4.) Lead the rollout of major company initiatives, ensuring clarity, consistency, and successful execution across all stores
5.) Review and guide Area Managers and/or General Managers execution of operational standards, ensuring alignment across all locations in the district.
6.) Coach, develop, and evaluate Area Managers/General Managers, ensuring they provide strong leadership in their regions.
7.) Conduct structured field visits, assessing performance, guest experience, operations, and culture at a high level.
8.) Ensure all stores across the district operate with operational discipline, financial accuracy, policy compliance, and brand consistency.
9.) Monitor, analyze, and drive financial performance across the district to achieve company financial targets.
10.) Oversee compliance with cash handling, banking, and credit card policies, ensuring district-wide accuracy and accountability.
11.) Identify district-level efficiency opportunities and implement systems to improve operations.
12.) Lead the district’s talent pipeline, ensuring strong recruiting, hiring, and management development across all stores
13.) Support Area Managers and General Managers in succession planning, bench-building, and management team stability.
14.) Ensure all leadership evaluations, one-on-ones, and annual reviews are completed consistently and documented appropriately.
15.) Ensure all stores adhere to Health Code requirements, QA standards, recipes, portioning, service procedures, and food safety protocols
16.) Oversee district-wide compliance with TABC, food safety certifications, labor laws, and workplace policies.
17.) Audit stores for policy adherence, including harassment prevention, workplace conduct, safety standards, and alcohol service rules
18.) Assist Area Managers and/or General Managers with complex or escalated issues, including guest incidents, HR matters, or operational breakdowns
19.) Ensure consistent brand representation across the district’s digital presence, in-store messaging, and guest interactions.
20.) Serve as a primary communication channel between executive leadership and the field, keeping messaging clear, consistent, and timely.
21.) Maintain a big-picture perspective, ensuring all decisions support the brand’s long-term goals.
22.) Champion MAD Concepts values and culture across all locations, ensuring leadership teams create positive, respectful, and fun work environments.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Must have extensive multi-unit restaurant leadership experience. Successful tenure as an Area Manager or similar multi-manager role is required. High-volume restaurant experience IS REQUIRED.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to clearly communicate strategy, expectations, and performance insights in English. Spanish language skills are an asset.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to analyze complex data across multiple markets, identify systemic issues, and develop strategic solutions. Must demonstrate exceptional judgment, prioritization, and decision-making across competing needs.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must complete all required MAD Concepts Group leadership trainings. Must maintain all certifications required by state and local regulations (e.g., TABC, food safety). Must complete any additional training mandated by company or regulatory agencies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a combination of restaurant environments and administrative settings. Travel between locations is a regular and essential part of this role. District Managers may be exposed to normal restaurant conditions, including heat, noise, humidity, and kitchen activity.
