Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high cleanliness standards

• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces

• Handle cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols

• Manage heavy lifting tasks when moving furniture or supplies to ensure efficient room turnover

• Follow hotel emergency procedures and sanitation guidelines to ensure guest safety at all times

• Document cleaning activities accurately and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly

• Utilize industrial cleaning techniques for deep cleaning tasks when necessary to uphold hygiene standards

Skills

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with strong knowledge of sanitation practices

• Skilled in floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment

• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while performing cleaning tasks in compliance with safety data sheets (SDS)

• Excellent manual handling skills for heavy lifting and moving furniture or supplies efficiently

• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to respond professionally to guest requests or concerns

• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management processes and custodial experience preferred

• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and industrial cleaning methods to ensure safety and quality standards are met
