Duties

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing all surfaces to ensure a spotless environment
• Handle chemical agents safely and correctly according to safety data sheets (SDS) to maintain sanitation standards
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and steam cleaners efficiently and responsibly
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas like lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by performing routine janitorial tasks
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies while adhering to manual handling safety protocols
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns
• Ensure proper disposal of waste and use of sanitation products to uphold hygiene standards across all areas

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles within hospitality environments is preferred
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including chemical handling and industrial cleaning methods
• Ability to handle cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and custodial experience is advantageous
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all
