Key Responsibilities
- Load trucks and railcars with liquid fertilizer utilizing approved tools and methods.
- Transfer liquid fertilizer, operating pumps, valves, piping, and automation systems.
- Perform general equipment maintenance using appropriate tools.
- Follow guidelines for ascending and descending ladders on railcars, trucks, towers, and platforms.
- Maintain facility and grounds through proper housekeeping methods.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in a fertilizer terminal is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures, including the mandatory use of company-supplied personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toe or sturdy leather boots.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and deal with heights while following respiratory and fall protection guidelines and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for commuting to various work sites.
- Willingness to undergo a drug test and background check.
- Flexibility to work overtime (some nights and weekends) as required. Typical working hours are Monday-Friday 6:45 am to 4 pm.
