What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Corporate Development position at Macquarie Group?
You’ll take the lead on shaping Macquarie Asset Management’s U.S. growth story by developing strategy, spotting great acquisition and partnership opportunities, and guiding deals from the first conversation all the way through to completion. What role will you play?
You will report to the Global Head of Corporate Development and be responsible for leading Corporate Development activities for Macquarie Asset Management in the U.S. market, including evolving and refining Macquarie Asset Management’s strategy, identifying and evaluating acquisitions, divestments and partnerships, driving business transformation initiatives and partnering with senior executives to drive and execute strategic opportunities. You will be required to lead all aspects of the transaction process from establishing and maintaining relationships with relevant external parties through to sourcing, negotiating, structuring, and execution. In addition to transaction responsibilities, you will also be involved with performing in-depth research related to broader strategic initiatives, transformation of the existing business, new product evaluation and business line development.
Salary range for this position: $290,000 - $360,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. What You Offer
- 10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, equities research, or corporate development
- Prior sector experience in FIG (Financial Institutions Group) or asset management strongly preferred
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Excellent analytical abilities and problem‑solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
