The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing safety checks on the forklift before operation
- Ensuring packaging lines have empty pallets available and reporting to supervisors
- Removing palletized bags from production lines and placing them on the stretch-wrapper
- Operating the stretch-wrapper and changing stretch film as required
- Placing palletized bags in inventory and storing them neatly
- Participating in plant cleanliness by re-stacking, picking up trash and debris, and washing equipment
- Reading BOLs and placing correct quantities and SKUs on carriers' trucks
- Communicating changes to BOLs to dispatchers and office personnel
- Performing physical inventory counts of finished goods
- Meeting quality and quantity standards
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Ability to drive a forklift
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to climb on and off required equipment
- Ability to sit for long periods
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to read and write English or follow instructions
- Ability to work in a dusty environment, hot/cold/rainy weather
- Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays
