- Maintains surgical schedule for the practice.
- Obtains authorizations when needed.
- Coordinates with hospitals to schedule and arrange all patient pre-op testing, medical clearances, etc.
- Triages patient phone calls appropriately for office visits, tests, surgeries and other encounters.
- Prepares patients' charts and files related to patient records.
- Contact and confirm patients dates and times of procedures with patients.
- Maintains physician's weekly schedule.
- Coordinates academic meetings including travel arrangements.
- Ability to deal with and maintain confidential information.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and ability to calculate and collect cash transactions.
