Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain schedules for Certified Nursing Assistants (C.N.A.s) and Nurses (RNs and LPNs)
- Complete holiday and weekend schedules for the nursing staff.
- Assist in ensuring missed punch forms are completed.
- Maintain absence log for nursing staff
- Promote equity and fairness in the scheduling process
- Assist in the reduction of overtime in the nursing department in conjunction with the DON/Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and Human Resources Director
- Assist in hiring new C.N.A.s and Nurses on an as-needed basis, communicating with the DON/ADON and HR Director
- Maintain accurate time records for the nursing department, ensuring to monitor attendance (Call-Offs, Tardies, and No Call, No Shows)
- Other duties as assigned
- High-school diploma or its equivalent
- Previous scheduling experience desired
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to be resourceful, tactful, and proactive in dealing with any issues that may arise

- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.

- May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
