What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Chef position at Macon Marriott City Center?
We are looking for a professional Banquet Chef to primarily be responsible for the planning, organizing, controlling and production in the banquet kitchen along with being able to work alone. This person will be overseeing all banquet and catering events while ensuring superior quality and consistency at all times as well as keeping in house baked items available at all times.
Responsibilities
- Review banquet event orders on a daily basis and make note of any changes
- Manage all food on day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
- Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service
- Assist with the design exceptional menus, purchase goods and continuously make necessary improvements
- Identify customers needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns
- Assist the food and beverage team
- Assist with establishing targets, schedules, policies and procedures
- Provide a two way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- Report to management regarding sales results and productivity
Skills
- Proven food and beverage management experience
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Mastery in delegating multiple tasks
- Communication and leadership skills
- Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices
- Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets
- Guest-oriented and service-minded
- Culinary school diploma or degree in food service management or related field desired.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $21.16 - $25.48 per hour
