What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Office Assistant position at Macomb County Board of Commissioners?
The Board of Commissioners (BOC) is seeking a temporary Office Assistant Senior. This position will be assigned up to 30 hours per week, April through July. The primary hours will be Monday-Friday 12 noon - 5 pm with additional hours that will vary based on the event schedule. This onsite position is based in downtown Mount Clemens, and occasionally in the field at special events. In addition to general clerical support for the BOC office, this position will help with the office's special events. This includes coordinating details with the venue, selecting and ordering promotional gifts such as t-shirts or mugs, designing and sending invitations, handling RSVPs, creating an event program and selecting the menu. Assisting at the event would involve greeting attendees and checking them in, setting up and cleaning up, and guiding attendees and speakers accordingly. The employee will also collaborate with the communications staff to cover photos and social media.
