Process Engineer
Job Description:
Process Engineer responsible for sustaining existing Si diffusion processes and developing new processes in the MACOM wafer fab located in Lowell, MA.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Sustains the diffusion area to meet all factory indicators; plans and conducts experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle, drives improvements on quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability/capability, productivity and safety/ergonomic over variables such as material, method, equipment, environment and operating personnel.
- Knowledge of ALD deposition, Rapid Thermal Annealing, Epi growth a plus
- Successful candidates develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools.
- BS or MS degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in semiconductor process engineering.
- Specific experience in diffusion, oxidation and CVD required.
- Specific semiconductor skills include solid understanding of data mining and statistics, SPC and DOE, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving.
- Must have a proven track record of solving technical problems, project ownership, meeting deadlines, and multitasking.
- Must display strong sense of ownership, enthusiasm, optimism, drive, and dedication to the improvement of the process area.
- The ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams to improve processes.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including technical writing for summarizing data and findings, writing process and equipment specifications and work instructions.
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
