Position Overview:

The focus of this position is to develop and maintain sustainable Environmental, Health and Safety policies, procedures, and programs that ensure operational compliance with company, customer, and global governmental EHS rules and regulations. The primary objectives are to protect employees, customers and the environment by identifying, controlling or eliminating risks and hazards that could cause injury and illness or cause harm to the environment. The primary responsibilities of the EHS Coordinator are to support the EHS Management System.

The primary responsibilities of the EHS Coordinator are to support the EHS Management System.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate EHS training programs, including scheduling, employee communication, and maintaining training records.
- Conduct EHS orientation sessions for all new hires across North America.
- Assist in the development of training materials and EHS communications to enhance awareness of safety practices and procedures.
- Support the documentation process for hazards, near-misses, incidents, and unsafe conditions or behaviors.
- Collect initial incident data, input it into reporting systems, and track the status of corrective actions.
- Contribute to the preparation of weekly and monthly EHS performance reports.
- Manage the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) program to ensure compliance and availability.
- Oversee the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) eBinder for chemical safety compliance across the organization.
- Facilitate the EHS Contractor Compliance Program for North American operations.
- Coordinate Workers Compensation claims and manage related case documentation.
- Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification programs, including compliance tracking and reporting.
- Handle quoting, invoicing, and purchase order management for EHS-related expenditures.
- Perform data entry to support reporting and analysis across various EHS initiatives.
- Assist with additional EHS activities as directed by the Senior EHS Manager.
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, organization, and documentation.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and database platforms; experience with SAP is a plus.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety, engineering, safety management, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in EHS program coordination or safety compliance.
