Job Duties
- Execute inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs per 80/20 strategies.
- Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, and inventory levels).
- Maintain and report metrics to be used in managing company’s service level commitments (2, 4, MTO, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, etc.)
- Contribute to sales planning process (rolling 18-month orders plan), report on accuracy of plan (monthly orders waterfall update) and participate in the
- Use statistical analysis and applicable models to establish stocking levels.
- Monitor SKU levels and recommend SKU rationalization initiatives in the future
- Develop and distribute reports to be used in inventory and demand meetings with Marketing Managers, reviewing recommended sales forecasts and inventory goals.
- Interact with sales, marketing, and finance to understand demand forecast drivers and gather business intelligence.
- Make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends.
- Ad hoc reporting/analysis as needed.
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
- Market Lead time maintenance.
- Updating Promised ship dates based on production/purchasing updates
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)

- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferable in math or statistics
- 2 years minimum planning, purchasing, or inventory management experience.
- Strong Microsoft excel and math skills (pivot tables, formulas)
- Data analytics knowledge
- Power BI preferred
- APICS certification a plus
- JD Edwards experience a plus
