Heavy Civil Superintendent / Field Operations Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to provide overall onsite leadership and management for construction projects involving earthwork, underground utilities, road construction, parking lots, dewatering, and site development activities. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract specifications and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong field leadership experience in heavy civil construction and the ability to supervise crews, coordinate subcontractors, manage daily site operations, and maintain high productivity across all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily field operations to ensure projects meet design, budget, and schedule requirements
- Manage onsite activities including scheduling, material control, equipment coordination, and field productivity
- Oversee craft employees, subcontractors, and field supervisors to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Ensure compliance with company safety programs, project procedures, and quality standards
- Identify and resolve field issues while communicating effectively with project management and leadership
- Assist in developing project procedures, work plans, and operational standards
- Monitor workforce productivity, equipment usage, and overall project performance
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Heavy Civil Earthwork construction management or field supervision
- Strong knowledge of earthmoving, underground utilities, dewatering, roadway construction, and surveying
- Understanding of construction methods, equipment, scheduling, cost control, and safety requirements
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Willingness to travel out of town or out of state as needed

Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment physical examination as part of the hiring process to ensure the ability to safely perform the essential duties of the role.
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
