We are currently partnered with a leading home infusion provider seeking an experienced Sales Professional in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.


This individual will be responsible for generating Chronic Therapy and IVIG patient referrals throughout the greater Pittsburgh market by developing strong relationships with referral sources, physicians, clinics, health systems, and payors.


The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Pharmacy, Intake, Nursing, and Operations teams to ensure exceptional patient care and customer service. This role carries responsibility for achieving revenue and profitability goals, expanding market share, and supporting strategic sales and marketing initiatives across Western Pennsylvania.



Key Responsibilities



  • Develop, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key referral sources throughout the Pittsburgh market, including physician practices, specialty clinics, hospitals, health systems, and payors, to drive Chronic Therapy and IVIG patient referrals.
  • Partner with Pharmacy, Intake, Nursing, and Operations teams to ensure seamless patient onboarding, continuity of care, and a positive referral source experience.
  • Achieve territory revenue and profitability (EBITDA) goals through strategic business development and market growth initiatives.
  • Identify and pursue new referral opportunities while strengthening existing customer relationships.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training programs, educational in-services, and community-based business development activities.
  • Analyze territory performance and develop strategic plans aligned with company objectives and growth targets.
  • Address customer service concerns proactively and ensure timely resolution of issues affecting referral sources, patients, or partners.
  • Support managed care initiatives and assist with pricing submissions in collaboration with sales leadership.
  • Maintain accurate and timely CRM documentation, including call reports, activity reports, expense reports, and other required business records.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in chronic disease states, specialty infusion therapies, IVIG, reimbursement processes, and payer policies.
  • Assist in the training and development of staff on customer service best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.



Qualifications


Education


  • Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Business, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Equivalent relevant work experience will be considered.


Experience


  • Proven success in healthcare sales, business development, or customer service is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in infusion services, specialty pharmacy, home infusion, or a related healthcare field preferred.
  • Experience calling on physicians, clinics, hospitals, and referral sources is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with reimbursement, managed care, and payer processes preferred.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions



This position is based in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania market and requires regular travel throughout Western Pennsylvania to support referral source development and business growth.


Travel Requirements


  • Ability to travel independently to hospitals, physician offices, infusion centers, specialty clinics, healthcare events, and business meetings.
  • Frequent travel may be required by automobile, air, or rail transportation for meetings, conferences, and customer engagements.


Physical Requirements


  • Regularly lift, carry, move, and position objects weighing up to 35 pounds, including marketing and presentation materials.
  • Consistently communicate verbally and in writing with leadership, employees, patients, clients, and referral partners.
  • Ability to effectively listen to and understand information presented through spoken communication.
  • Utilize visual observation skills to assess presentations, marketing displays, and customer needs.
  • Frequently operate a computer and other standard office equipment, including calculators, copiers, printers, and related technology used to manage referral activity, patient information, and territory reporting.

Salary : $90,000 - $125,000
