We are seeking a part-time, dedicated, and detail-oriented Safety & Compliance Coordinator to support our team in the Butte, MT office. Experience with updating and managing third-party safety platforms is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Management: Input, update, and manage safety database systems, tracking incidents, audits, and corrective actions.
- Compliance Tracking: Monitor records for training completion, equipment inspections, and medical or vehicle certifications.
- Documentation Control: Review, update, and upload safety manuals, programs, insurance certificates, and client-required compliance materials.
- Reporting: Generate routine and ad hoc compliance reports to support management and safety committee reviews.
- Gap Analysis: Identify missing documentation or compliance lapses and coordinate with field teams or vendors to resolve them promptly
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health
- Experience with updating and managing third-party safety platforms
- Experience with tracking incidents, generating ad hoc reports and operational workflows
- Experience with managing DOT compliance and procedures.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations.
US Pay Range
$33 - $38 USD
Full-time employees receive a well-rounded benefit package including access to our company-sponsored Medical (including an HSA High Deductible option), Dental, Vision, FSA, and Supplemental Life Insurance plans. We also offer 100% company-paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability coverage. Employees are eligible to participate in our company's 401(k) plan with up to a 4% match. Additionally, employees receive paid vacation and sick time, 11 paid holidays, and are able to participate in employee ownership options. MacKay pays for expenses associated with licensure as well as annual performance bonuses.
Employment requires passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
