The Role
The HR Manager will serve as a strategic business partner to firm leadership, overseeing day-to-day human resources operations while helping guide long-term organizational growth and employee development initiatives.
This individual will function as a true HR generalist with strong knowledge of the public accounting environment, helping support recruiting, employee engagement, compensation planning, benefits administration, performance management, and internal communications.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, building processes, and serving as a trusted resource for both employees and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with firm leadership on strategic HR planning and organizational initiatives
- Lead recruiting efforts across accounting and administrative functions
- Manage employee onboarding, training, and retention initiatives
- Oversee compensation planning, benefits administration, and annual review processes
- Support employee relations and performance management efforts
- Help develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Coordinate internal communications and employee engagement initiatives
- Assist with succession planning and long-term workforce development
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and HR regulations
- Support overall firm operations and culture-building initiatives
What They’re Looking For
- Prior HR experience within public accounting strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of the CPA firm environment and accounting industry talent landscape
- Experience across multiple HR disciplines in a generalist or HR management capacity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work directly with leadership in a visible role
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or related certifications are a plus
