The Remote Data Processing Clerk is responsible for the digital management of sales data, manufacturer price lists, and distributor information. You will ensure that the "tools, training, and support" Mack Sales provides to its customers are backed by clean, organized, and accessible data. This role requires high attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, industrial-sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Lead & Activity Entry: Accurately input data from field reports, onsite demonstrations, and sales meetings into the company CRM to track opportunities across the 7-state territory.
Manufacturer Data Management: Update and maintain digital libraries of manufacturer price books, spec sheets, and safety data sheets (SDS) for brands like Minuteman, Square Scrub, and Multi-Clean.
Customized Marketing Support: Assist in the creation of digital marketing assets by organizing product data, high-resolution imagery, and pricing for distributor-specific flyers and handouts.
Incentive & Rebate Tracking: Process and verify sales data related to manufacturer promotions and distributor rebates to ensure accurate reporting and payouts.
Database Maintenance: Periodically audit the distributor network database to ensure contact information for owners and sales staff (e.g., in cities like Cleveland, Detroit, and Louisville) is current.
Communication Liaison: Act as a remote support link between the Northeast Ohio warehouse operations and the field sales team to ensure data regarding "demo inventory" is reflected correctly in the system.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, data sorting) and experience with CRM platforms (such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or industry-specific tools).
Detail Orientation: Extreme accuracy in data entry, especially regarding SKU numbers, industrial chemistry formulations, and complex pricing structures.
Industry Literacy: Ability to quickly learn the terminology of the Janitorial/Sanitation (JanSan) industry, including flooring types and equipment specifications.
Independence: Proven ability to manage a high volume of tasks in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
Communication: Strong written communication skills for coordinating with regional managers and distributor partners via email and project management software.
