Quality Control Inspector

Summary

Mack Hils Metal Fabrication’s Quality Control Inspector is someone that performs inspections, spot checks, and keeps records of all inspections.

Essential Functions

· Check parts with Faro Arm (CMM Machine), tape measure, calipers & height gage.

· Performing daily spot checks on the production floor.

· Accurately document the result of inspections.

· Record all rejections from in house production and maintain records.

· Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible Corrective Action & Preventive Action.

· Implement inspection procedures.

· Complete PPAP & IMDS and maintain records.

· Must have good English written and verbal communication skills.

· Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

· Assist with maintenance of the Inspection tool calibration records.

Required Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:

· Ability to operate Computers

o Knowledge and training in various computer programs include, but not limited to Excel, Microsoft Word

· Read blueprints and job packets

· Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, MSDS Sheets, orders, shipping documents and job procedures

· Follow oral and written instructions

· Awareness and use of safety precautions such a safety glasses, ear protection and shield, guards, lockout/tagout procedures

Physical Demands

· Required to stand, walk, use hands and arms to operate equipment

· Talk and hear

· Perform motions including bending, twisting, pushing and pulling

· Regularly required to lift, push or pull weight and/or carry objects weighing 5-50 pounds

Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
