Electrical Quality Control Inspector

Our client, a leader in the nuclear field, is looking for an Electrical QC Inspector to join their team on a long term basis in the Pickering area.

Job Description

The Electrical Quality Control Inspector is responsible for conducting daily inspections and tests on incoming materials, ongoing work, and final acceptance stages. This role ensures that all work is properly documented and meets the required quality standards. The inspector collaborates with various teams to support quality processes while prioritizing safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all work safely and adhere to company and client safety standards.
• Perform inspections and tests on materials and work at different stages, maintaining accurate records.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities as needed.
• Monitor special processes to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Verify work sign-offs related to inspections and tests in line with the quality management system and related programs.
• Prepare or review inspection test plans.
• Coordinate quality control activities with project teams, clients, and subcontractors.
• Support pressure boundary requirements and related coordination.
• Ensure manufacturer data reports are completed accurately.
• Confirm inspections and tests are conducted correctly and promptly.
• Record inspection and test results as required.
• Properly use and track testing equipment.
• Identify and manage nonconforming items according to established procedures.

Essential Skills

• College diploma or university degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of construction trade experience.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience, including handling nonconformance, corrective actions, and inspection and test plans.
• Welding inspection certification may be required.
• CSA W178.2 Level I, II or III preferred, or similar certifications such as API, AWS, or National Board.
• Strong understanding of codes and standards.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work extended hours when needed.
• Security clearance requirements must be met.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pickering, ON.

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $85.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Pickering,ON.
