Logistics and Material Handling Specialist

As a Logistics and Material Handling Specialist, you will play a vital role in the secure movement, storage, and distribution of sensitive inventory. You will ensure operational excellence by maintaining strict compliance with safety and security protocols while facilitating the efficient flow of materials through our facility.

• Verify, inspect, and process incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring all documentation aligns with established standard operating procedures.
• Manage secure storage areas, utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory accuracy and perform regular cycle counts.
• Execute picking, staging, and packaging tasks for shipments, maintaining high standards of precision and security.
• Operate heavy equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and yard trucks, to facilitate material movement.
• Transport goods in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and internal safety guidelines.
• Support facility audits and inspections by maintaining a clean, organized, and highly controlled work environment.
• Uphold strict chain-of-custody protocols to safeguard all controlled materials and report discrepancies immediately.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or GED with relevant experience in a regulated warehouse environment.
• Proficiency in operating industrial equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and yard trucks.
• Strong mathematical aptitude for inventory tracking and unit measurement.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs consistently and thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented setting.
• Capacity to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to collaborative, team-based operations.

Preferred Skills

• Active U.S. government security clearance.
• Experience working within Department of Defense (DoD) or government contracting logistics.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
