EH&S Representative
Mach Natural Resources is seeking an entry level EH&S Representative. The EH&S Representative is responsible for operations included within the E&P and Midstream side of the industry. As an EH&S Rep you will become familiar with all Local, State and Federal safety and environmental regulations. Once fully trained you will be responsible for providing on-site direction and leadership for workers to complete jobs in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. You may be responsible for many different aspects of the job including but not limited to investigations, hands-on efforts of remediation, training, emergency response, reporting, budgeting, etc.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Research and interpret safety and environmental rules established by state and federal regulations pertaining to Mach Natural Resources needs
- Conduct Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) inspections on rotating basis
- Review operational procedures and practices in assessing company and 3rd party compliance with state, federal, and company requirements.
- Able to write audit reports with detailed findings & recommendations
- Research, develop, and implement pipeline regulatory requirements for PHMSA transmission and NGL lines
- Research, develop, and implement pipeline regulatory requirements for PHMSA’s gathering lines
- Responsible for daily monitoring of safety and environmental compliance on various locations
- Assist operations is training and compliance for job specific tasks
- Experienced in developing and presenting information to individuals and groups
- Able to communicate and exchange information and conduct oral presentations
- Maintains training certifications
- Supervises, mentors, and motivates company workforce
- Provides front line and back-up support during emergency events
- Able to work under supplied air in the event of an H2S or low oxygen emergency
- Coordinate and conduct spill remediations
- Conducts routine and follow up safety and environmental inspections
- Acts as a liaison between Mach Natural Resources and local, state and federal agencies
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional groups on long-term projects or programs
- Always represent the company in a professional manner
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- Working knowledge in audit, compliance, operations and/or regulatory environments
- Ability to maintain a budget
- Ability to identify potential hazards in the field and have the fortitude to use stop work authority when needed
- Excellent organizational skills with careful attention to detail and timely follow-through
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be self-directed and capable of handling multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Able to work effectively in stressful, time-sensitive environments
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must participate as needed in working overtime on evenings and weekends
- Must be able to work a rotating weekend and holiday on call schedule
- Ability to perform essential duties in an environment that entails a variety of weather conditions
- High standard of integrity and professionalism
Minimum Educational or Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Safety discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of industry experience and/or professional experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS).
Physical Requirements
- Able to fit test and wear supplied air as needed
- This position will require travel based on audits and inspections which could include overnight
- Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for an extended period of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. without assistance
- Capable of driving distances of 150 miles or more per day during all types of weather conditions
- Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities
- Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in the field, hazardous chemicals, and hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure, for which appropriate safety measures are required
- Ability to inspect and have close visual acuity to perform activities
- Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time safely
- Work safely with machinery and equipment
