Macgregor Black are partnering with a leading consumer goods brand on the search for a VP of Sales. This is a permanent role based in Boston, US.
As the VP of Sales, will be responsible for shaping and leading the company’s commercial strategy across the US market. This role requires a seasoned sales professional with deep experience in the toy industry and strong relationships across major retail accounts. You will own revenue growth, account development, and partnership expansion while building the company’s brand footprint in the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the US sales strategy to drive market penetration and revenue growth.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with major retail partners, distributors, and key accounts.
- Develop sales forecasts, budgets, and performance targets aligned with company objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand distribution within the toy and broader consumer goods markets.
- Collaborate with UK leadership on product launches, market planning, and demand analysis.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing US sales team as growth accelerates.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
- Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, and key customer meetings.
What We're Looking For:
- 5–10 years of senior sales leadership experience within the toy industry.
- A strong network and proven track record managing large US retail accounts (e.g., Target, Walmart, Amazon, specialty retail).
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to growth and performance.
- Demonstrated success in scaling brands and driving significant revenue gains.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Based in the Boston area, with the ability to travel as needed.
