MacGregor Black are partnering with a global consumer electronics business on the search for a Technical Sustaining Project Manager, based in New Jersey.
As Technical Sustaining Project Manager, you will take ownership of post-launch product performance, ongoing improvements and full lifecycle management across an electromechanical product portfolio. Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain, you will play a critical role in ensuring products remain reliable, compliant and commercially viable throughout their time in market. This role requires a structured, detail-oriented project manager with strong technical understanding and the ability to drive solutions across global teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sustaining activities across multiple product lines
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective action plans with Engineering and Quality
- Manage component changes, product updates, and end-of-life transitions
- Coordinate with overseas factories and suppliers on implementation
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings to track timelines, risks, and deliverables
- Maintain clear documentation and communication across global teams
- Support ongoing reliability, compliance, and cost-reduction initiatives
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
- 5 years of project management experience in consumer electronics, appliances, or electromechanical products
- Strong understanding of mechanical assemblies, PCBs, and firmware integration
- Ability to translate technical detail into clear actions for cross-functional teams
- Experience working with overseas factories (China/Taiwan preferred)
- Proficiency with project management tools (monday.com, MS Project, or similar)
- Willingness to travel as needed; Mandarin is a plus
