Macdonald & Company is partnering with a growing, fully integrated multifamily real estate platform to recruit a Senior Accountant for its Denver office.
The organization is active across the full multifamily lifecycle, including development, construction, and long-term ownership. As the platform continues to expand, the company is looking to strengthen its accounting team with the addition of a Senior Accountant who can support a diverse portfolio of entities and operational functions.

Working within a multi-entity structure, the Senior Accountant will partner closely with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain accurate financial reporting, enhance internal processes, and support the continued development of the firm's finance and accounting platform.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting responsibilities across corporate, development, and construction entities
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation
- Assist with entity consolidations and intercompany transactions across various business units
- Support construction accounting functions, including job costing, work-in-progress reporting, owner billings, and retainage administration
- Monitor project-level financial performance and ensure construction costs are accurately tracked, allocated, and reported
- Collaborate with development, construction, and operations teams to provide timely and reliable financial information
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting practices
- Assist with ERP optimization and accounting system enhancements to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities
- Partner with senior accounting leadership on special projects and strategic process improvement initiatives
