What are the responsibilities and job description for the Managing Director, Investments position at Macdonald & Company?
Macdonald & Company has been exclusively retained by a globally active real estate investment and development firm to appoint a Managing Director to lead and scale its U.S. platform.
This individual will play a key role in driving investment growth across the U.S., with responsibility for both:
- Sourcing and executing JV real estate investments alongside operating partners
- Raising capital from institutional investors, family offices, and private wealth channels
Key Responsibilities:
- Origination, underwriting, and execution of value-add and opportunistic investments
- Building and managing LP/investor relationships
- Leading capital formation initiatives across deal and platform level opportunities
- Helping shape the strategic growth of the U.S. business
Ideal Background:
- 10 years within real estate private equity, investment, or development
- Strong track record executing JV / multifaCo-GP transactions
- Demonstrated experience raising institutional or private capital
- Entrepreneurial mindset with leadership capability and strong commercial acumen
Salary : $275,000 - $300,000
