Were hiring a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to perform mechanical services on both customer- and company-owned equipmenteither in the shop or out in the field. If youre motivated, experienced, and ready to work independently, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities Include:
- Diagnose and repair equipment in the shop or at customer sites
- Complete all paperwork: service reports, time tracking, parts used/returned
- Meet customer needs by delivering high-quality, timely service
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and work areas in clean, safe condition
- Prepare equipment for the ready line: clean, grease, check fluid levels
- Follow directions from managers and lead mechanics
- Properly tag and store equipment and vehicles when not in use
- Complete special assignments as directed
- Uphold all safety policies and participate in safety meetings
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
- 35 years of mechanical experience with heavy equipment
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, and electrical systems
- Solid decision-making, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
- Moderate computer skills (Microsoft Office and database systems)
- Strong customer service and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and tooling procedures
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Professional appearance and behavior
- May need to obtain a CDL
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate trucks under one ton
Safety Expectations:
- Follow all safety rules and use required PPE
- Maintain tools in safe condition
- Report all accidents or near misses immediately
- Participate in safety meetings and promote zero-accident culture
