IT & Equipment AV Rental Technician

We are a small, San Diego–based technology rental company providing computers and AV equipment to hotels, businesses, and event venues including the San Diego Convention Center. As a small business, every team member wears multiple hats and plays an important role in our success.

This is a hands-on position that combines computer setup, warehouse operations, and local deliveries, along with occasional small audio visual setups. Candidates must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and driving equipment to venues throughout San Diego.

Responsibilities

Prepare and image Windows and Mac laptops/Desktops with clean client setups

Assist with imaging, check-in, and maintenance of Mac and iOS devices (approx. 10% of role)

Install software and fully test equipment before deployment

Inspect, check in, and maintain returned rental equipment

Organize inventory and prepare rental orders

Deliver and pick up computer and AV equipment at hotels, businesses, and event venues

Assist with on-site setup as needed

Qualifications

Comfortable working with Windows operating systems

Familiarity with macOS and iOS devices

Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software installation

Willing to work in a warehouse environment and make local deliveries

Able to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Reliable, punctual, and adaptable in a small team setting

Previous Corporate event AV experience a plus

Schedule & Compensation

Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm

Starting pay at $23/hour, depending on experience

Overtime available when needed (not frequent)

Occasional weekend work
