Event Tech & Logistics Specialist (PC Gaming & Mac Fleet)
Location: Office in Kearny Mesa (92123) | Deliveries across San Diego (including the San Diego Convention Center, local hotels, and venues)
Compensation: Starting at $23/hour (depending on experience) Overtime available
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (With occasional weekend work for events)

Position Summary
Do you love working with technology but hate the idea of sitting at a desk or staring at code all day? We are a busy, small-scale technology rental company in Kearny Mesa, and we are looking for an active, reliable Event Tech & Logistics Specialist to join our team.
This is a highly physical, multi-faceted role. You will spend your time preparing tech hardware in our warehouse, driving company deliveries to premier San Diego venues, and helping set up gear on-site. We specialize in everything from standard corporate setups to high-end gaming activations.
Please note: This is a hands-on operational, hardware diagnostics, and deployment role. It is not a programming, coding, or software development position.
What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)
Hardware & Tech Prep (Imaging & Testing): Majority of Job (50% of time) Get computers ready for clients. This means running mass deployment setups/images on Windows laptops and high-performance gaming PCs. You will also check in, restore, and troubleshoot MacBooks and iMacs (about 10% of the job), installing necessary apps and testing them so they are completely plug-and-play.
Diagnostics & Bench Repair: Troubleshoot and fix hardware issues on returned equipment. You should be comfortable identifying component failures, swapping out parts (RAM, storage, GPUs), and diagnosing stability issues on custom gaming rigs or business laptops.
On-the-Move Deliveries: Drive, load, and unload computer and AV equipment rentals to hotels, corporate businesses, and the San Diego Convention Center.
On-Site Event Setup: Work on-floor at major San Diego venues as needed to help set up, cable-manage, and assemble computer arrays, gaming stations, or basic AV gear for events.
Warehouse & Inventory Ops: Inspect and stress-test returned equipment, organize inventory, and prep upcoming rental orders so everything is 100% functional and accounted for.
Who You Are (Qualifications)
Tech-Savvy & PC Literate: You have a solid, practical understanding of computer hardware. You know your way around a PC motherboard, understand graphics card requirements, and are deeply comfortable navigating Windows imaging and macOS recovery environments.
Active & Hands-On: You enjoy an active workday that combines bench tech repair, warehouse work, driving, and venue setups. You can comfortably lift and move equipment cases up to 50 lbs.
Great Driver: You possess a valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record and feel confident making local deliveries around San Diego in a company vehicle.
