Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct detailed floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to restore and maintain optimal floor appearance.
- Handle chemical agents safely while using appropriate cleaning chemicals for different surfaces such as floors, carpets, and fixtures.
- Operate various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, polishers, carpet extractors, and floor scrubbers with precision.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning supplies or equipment to ensure efficient workflow while adhering to manual handling safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs courteously and professionally during cleaning routines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within commercial or institutional settings.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including scrubbing, buffing, waxing, sealing, and refinishing.
- Familiarity with the proper handling and application of floor cleaning chemicals and environmental services standards.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and other custodial equipment safely and effectively.
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent communication skills paired with a customer service-oriented approach.
