Maintenance Mechanic

Position Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for machine setup, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of production and packaging equipment. This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs during production.

• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment.

• Prepare and set up machinery for production runs.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders.

• Perform PLC troubleshooting (electro role preferred).

• Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards.

• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• 2–3 years of industrial maintenance experience required.

• Certification preferred.

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

• PLC knowledge and troubleshooting experience preferred.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Willingness to work flexible schedules and overtime as needed.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Able to stand for extended periods (8 hours).

• Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments.

• Able to climb ladders/stairs.

• Able to work in tight or awkward spaces.
