Director of Risk Management

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for Mac Haik Enterprise’s insurance brokers for all risk management and insurance related activities, as well as providing information for the renewal and negotiation of various insurance policies
• Assist in the review of property and casualty insurance and risk management programs for effectiveness of coverage and to reduce insurance costs and losses for all divisions of affiliated companies
• Lead and support all aspects of the enterprise insurance program, including procurement
• Employ loss prevention strategies across all lines
• Develops and administers insurance budget
• Provides consultation and technical advice on risk management and insurance issues to various departments
• Possess ability to compile, analyze, present, and interpret complex financial and statistical information to facilitate decision making
• Manage joint venture insurance programs, including negotiation and coordination with partners
• Administer and oversees insurance claims and monitors related litigation with the ability to handle complex insurance litigation and successfully secure settlements losses
• Supports internal audits
• Stay informed of legislative and compliance changes impacting policy/procedure.
• Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
• Maintain professional personal appearance.
• Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Mac Haik Enterprises brand.
• Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 5 years of Corporate Risk Management experience (real estate or automotive industry experience preferred)
• College degree preferred
• Risk Certification (IRMI, ARM, CRM, etc..) required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong communication skills
• Problem solving and research skills
• Analytical experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
• Successful completion of pre‐employment screening
• Authorization to work in the USA
