What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interim Executive Director position at Mac-A-Cheek Foundation for the Humanities?
The Mac-A-Cheek Foundation for the Humanities (MFH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1996 to support educational experiences inside and on the grounds of Piatt Castle Mac-A-Cheek.
Educational activities include, but are not limited to: interpretive tours, exhibits, and programs; public events; publications related to the collection; and projects to expand visitor access. Sections of Piatt Castle Mac-A-Cheek have been open to the public since 1912 as a private, family-managed museum attraction.
Specific responsibilities of the Interim Director include the following:
- Fundraising & Revenue Development
- Develop and execute donor campaigns, including individual giving and corporate sponsorships. Identify and apply for grants to support operations and programming.
- Develop partnerships with businesses, educational institutions, and cultural organizations.
- Developing and executing a fundraising plan
- Marketing & Community Engagement
- Develop outreach strategies to attract participants, volunteers, and supporters.
- Administrative & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure compliance with grant reporting, tax filings, and nonprofit regulations by maintaining records, donor databases, and financial tracking for transparency.
- Develop a plan to hire a permanent executive director.
Salary Range:
$2,500-$3,000/month
