We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings to a variety of industrial components and structures, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and safety protocols. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and applying primer using hand tools and power tools.
- Operate spray guns, including airless paint sprayers and conventional spray equipment, to apply coatings such as powder coating or industrial paint.
- Interpret production documents and technical specifications to ensure accurate application of coatings according to project requirements.
- Use precision measuring instruments and visual color comparison techniques to verify coating consistency and quality.
- Handle materials safely using proper materials handling procedures and adhere strictly to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols, including respirators and respiratory protection devices.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of waste properly, and ensuring compliance with safety standards such as OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with fabrication, machining, assembly, auto body repair, and construction teams to ensure surface preparation aligns with overall manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial painting, coating application, or related manufacturing roles.
- Knowledge of powder coating processes, auto painting techniques, and construction painting surface preparation.
- Familiarity with coating materials, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and spray guns used in industrial painting.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, and specifications accurately.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Experience operating forklifts or cranes is a plus for handling large or heavy components safely.
- Commitment to safety protocol adherence including PPE use, respirator use, respiratory protection practices, and safety standards in manufacturing environments.
