FIELD SUPERINTENDENT- CIVIL and CONCRETE

Position Overview: This position is for a specific project with a time frame of approximately 12 to 18 months. This position has the potential to become permanent upon the successful conclusion of the project, depending on the needs of the company at that time. This position will support civil/concrete construction management activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Management and oversight of onsite contractors completing civil earthworks ranging from bulk earthworks to finish grading, and concrete installation.
• Enforce quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), compaction testing, concrete testing, and proper documentation.
• Ensure contractor work is in compliance with all project management plans, contract requirements, design intent, drawings, specifications, and safety procedures.
• Monitor production rates, quantities installed, and contractor productivity; identify risks and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Support commissioning readiness by ensuring civil and concrete scopes are completed to required standards and handed over in accordance with turnover plans.
• Coordination with engineering design efforts, contract administration, procurement & logistics and project
• Assembly of RFI’s for engineering response, track contractor field progress, QA/QC review and documentation of in place work, reviewing/coordinating shop drawings with contractors, vendors &
• Generation of project meeting
• Preparation of daily field & material reports, scheduling and cost control updates, and weekly and monthly reports as
• Ability to manage site team, interface with client representatives, present construction progress, resolve issues and develop interim reports to clients in a public forum, if

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, Skills and Licensing

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar
• Ability to present construction activities and plans to clients in a written and presentation format.
• Working knowledge and experience in MS office, MS Project, and Primavera
• Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self- starter, detail-oriented and have exceptional organizational
• Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited

Preferred Skills

• Previous Experience in the Mining Industry with Heap Leach Pads and liner installation.
• Bachelor’s in civil engineering
• Bilingual English / Spanish abilities
• Experience working on multidisciplinary design and construction
