Seeking Sound Engineer / Audio Technician for New Musical Industry Reading Monday, September 28, 2026 | 500 8th Avenue, New York, NY 10018
Seeking a sound engineer/audio technician for two staged readings of a musical on Monday, September 28 at Pearl Studios (500 8th Avenue).
We have a larger space booked from 11 AM – 10 PM, with readings scheduled for 2 PM and 7 PM (~2.5 hour runtime with intermission).
Production Details
Cast: 10 actors
We would ideally like to mic all 10 performers. Actors will primarily be performing from music stands, so wired microphones on stands are completely fine; a wireless system is not necessary.
Band: 6 musicians
Confirmed instrumentation includes:
Keyboard
Drum kit (cajón)
Guitar — acoustic with a pickup
Bass (electric)
Violin
Cello
Sound / Equipment Needs
We are looking for someone who can provide and operate the PA system for the readings and advise us on any necessary backline or additional audio equipment. We would also like to record the readings and are particularly interested in arranging a board recording if possible.
