Field Audio Rental Technician

Rental Tech:

Full-time in-person, in our Long Island City location.

Responsibilities:Rental Operations

• Perform quality control inspections on all incoming and outgoing rental equipment.
• Prepare, pull, package, and return rental orders.
• Ensure all rental packages are complete, accurate, and meet customer requirements.
• Support the rental team with order processing, scheduling, and logistics.
• Help manage rental inventory and equipment organization.

Used Equipment Testing & Evaluation

• Dedicate approximately 5 hours per week to testing, evaluating, posting incoming used equipment.
• Verify operational status, functionality, and completeness of used gear.
• Document equipment condition and report any repair or service needs.
• Assist in preparing used equipment for resale.

Booking & Customer Support

• Assist with rental bookings during periods of high demand.
• Provide coverage for team members during vacations, sick days, and other absences.
• Help maintain continuity of customer service and rental operations.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding equipment availability, substitutions, and rental requirements, when needed.

Technical Support & Training

• Assist sales and service departments with technical questions and customer needs.
• Learn and support Gotham's wireless communications and internet rental offerings.
• Receive training on two-way radio (walkie-talkie) systems, wireless communications, and portable internet/WiFi solutions.
• Support equipment preparation and basic troubleshooting for communications and connectivity rentals.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and product knowledge development.

General Operations

• Support department projects and process improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
• Collaborate with rental, sales, service, and warehouse teams to support customer success.

Education:

High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience: Field audio recording equipment.

Customer service: 1 year (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
