We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer to join our construction team. The Framer will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other trades to deliver high-quality construction projects on time and within scope. Candidates should possess extensive construction site experience and proficiency with hand tools and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects such as residential remodels, commercial builds, and restoration jobs.
Responsibilities
- Construct and install structural frameworks using wood, metal studs, or other materials according to blueprints and schematics
- Erect metal buildings and perform metal stud framing with precision and adherence to safety standards
- Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete finishing tasks as needed
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to facilitate framing tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate construction
- Install siding, stucco, roofing, drywall, trim carpentry, and plastering components for complete building finishes
- Perform masonry work including bricklaying or stonework when required
- Manage demolition or restoration projects by removing old structures or materials carefully
- Ensure all framing work complies with building codes and safety regulations
- Collaborate with construction management teams to coordinate schedules and workflow efficiently
Skills
- Proven experience in metal building erection, concrete forming, masonry, roofing, siding, and restoration projects
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for various construction tasks
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (hammers, chisels), power tools (drills, saws), and heavy equipment operation when necessary
- Strong knowledge of carpentry disciplines including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, woodworking, plastering, and stucco application
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on the job site
- Experience with rebar installation and concrete finishing techniques
- Familiarity with construction management practices to coordinate multiple trades effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in measuring, cutting, fitting materials accurately
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites to maintain a secure working environment
