Project / Program Manager
M Powered Strategies is seeking a Project / Program Manager to lead workstreams and integrated delivery efforts supporting federal healthcare transformation, modernization, and organizational change initiatives. This role is responsible for managing scope, schedule, stakeholders, risks, and deliverables while helping clients move complex priorities from planning into execution.
The ideal candidate brings a combination of structured program management, sound judgment, and strong client presence. This person should be comfortable operating in ambiguity, establishing delivery discipline, and coordinating across business, operational, and technical stakeholders to keep programs aligned and moving.
- Lead one or more project or task workstreams within larger transformation or implementation programs.
- Develop and manage workplans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and dependency tracking.
- Facilitate internal and client meetings, governance sessions, and decision forums.
- Manage risks, issues, assumptions, and escalation pathways.
- Coordinate across functional teams, subcontractors, client stakeholders, and leadership.
- Provide regular status reporting and executive-level updates.
- Ensure delivery quality, responsiveness, and alignment to client priorities.
- Help establish or refine governance, delivery rhythms, and decision-making structures.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible to work in the US
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 7-12 years of relevant experience in project management, program management, workstream leadership, or management consulting.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and organizational leadership skills.
- Experience managing schedules, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, CAPM, Agile, Scrum, or related certification.
- Experience supporting federal agencies.
- Experience with VA, VHA, healthcare transformation, EHR modernization, or large-scale implementation efforts.
- Experience leading PMO or governance functions.
- Experience operating in matrixed or integrated delivery environments.
