Job description

The Logistics Account Manager at M and P Logistics builds and manages a book of business by developing client relationships, finding new opportunities, and coordinating transportation. This role blends sales, problem-solving, and customer service while giving you the resources, technology, and hands-on support needed to grow your portfolio and your income.

What You’ll Do

• Use top-tier technology such as DAT, HubSpot, and ZoomInfo to identify prospects and secure new business.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships as the primary contact for your clients.
• Provide pricing based on customer needs and live market conditions.
• Negotiate competitive rates with quality carriers.
• Select carriers based on cost, reliability, and service expectations.
• Prepare accurate shipping documents and invoices.
• Track shipments, ensure on-time delivery, and resolve any service issues quickly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years of sales experience, ideally in logistics, preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Comfortable with MS Office and quick to learn new systems.
• Strong time management and problem-solving capabilities.
