Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM 5:00 PM; Saturday, 8:00 AM 12:00 PM

Location: Locust Grove

We're hiring a Non-Ferrous Metal Buyer & Small Scale Operator to join our team at our LOCUST GROVE location!

What You'll Do As a Scrap Yard Buyer

• Greet and assist customers unloading non-ferrous scrap material
• Weigh, grade, and evaluate scrap using proper techniques and tools
• Provide accurate pricing based on current market values and company standards
• Deliver top-notch customer service to individual and industrial clients
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area
• Assist with general labor and processing tasks in the non-ferrous division
• Work closely under the direction of the Scrap Yard Manager and support team operations as needed
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Knowledge of non-ferrous metals (e.g., copper, brass, aluminum, wire, etc.) and basic grading practices
• Experience in the scrap metal industry is strongly preferred
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, outdoor environment
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift, sort, and move materials safely and efficiently
• Team-oriented and dependable
• Experience on forklifts, balers, shears, cutting torches, etc and familiar with other industry equipment
