What You'll Do:
- Dispatch roll-off trucks to customer locations, job sites, and internal yards
- Plan daily routes and coordinate schedules for maximum efficiency
- Communicate with drivers throughout the day to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
- Monitor and ensure compliance with DOT and state transportation regulations
- Maintain accurate records as needed
- Track equipment locations and availability (dumpsters, trucks, etc.)
- Serve as the main point of contact for drivers, customers, and Transportation Manager
- Prioritize safety protocols and enforce company and regulatory safety standards
- Troubleshoot delays, customer concerns, or logistical challenges as they arise
- Support fleet maintenance scheduling and inspections
What You Bring:
- Proven experience dispatching roll-off trucks
- Strong understanding of DOT, FMCSA, and state compliance regulations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to think fast and problem-solve in real time
- Customer service mindset with a sense of urgency
- Proficiency in dispatching software and GPS tracking systems
- Experience in the scrap metal, waste, recycling, or construction industry a plus
