What You'll Be Doing
As a General Laborer in our Non-Ferrous Warehouse, you'll play a key role in helping us sort, process, and move valuable recyclable metals like copper, aluminum, and brass. This is a vital position that helps keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from customer and company vehicles
- Sort and separate non-ferrous metals by grade and type
- Operate hand tools, pallet jacks, and forklifts (training provided if needed)
- Clean and organize work areas to maintain safety and efficiency
- Assist equipment operators and warehouse staff as needed
- Follow all safety rules and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Support inventory management and documentation of materials
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow
- Perform general yard and warehouse clean-up duties
- Take direction well and complete tasks independently when needed
- Dependable, punctual, and ready to work hard every day
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- A positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
- Previous warehouse or labor experience is a plus but not required
- Bi-lingual a plus
- Full-time hours with overtime opportunities
- Consistent schedule, including Saturday half-days
