Duties
- Assist in the preparation and setup of construction sites, including layout and material organization
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, pouring, and finishing
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute construction plans accurately
- Construct formwork for concrete pouring and install rebar reinforcement according to specifications
- Perform masonry work including bricklaying, stucco application, and tile installation for various structures
- Execute carpentry tasks such as framing, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and roofing installation
- Conduct concrete finishing activities like smoothing surfaces and applying caulking or plastering as needed
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations and protocols to maintain a secure environment for all team members
- Operate heavy machinery such as concrete pumps or lifting equipment when required for large-scale projects
- Assist with renovation or restoration projects by performing demolition, structural repairs, or surface preparation
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction sites with a solid understanding of construction processes and safety standards
- Mechanical knowledge related to tools, equipment operation, and basic maintenance procedures
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with confidence
- Skilled in concrete forming, pouring, finishing, cutting, and rebar installation
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices and interpreting construction plans accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and commercial driving if applicable
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Strong attention to detail in executing construction plans while maintaining high quality standards
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across different trades
